*Note*: The "arch-spheres" from Masters of the Arts (revised) are included here to give players an idea of the power of an arch-mage. However, arch-spheres are better as plot devices. M20 doesn't even mention this as a possibility like that do with other topics by mentioning 'in previous versions'.
We are set up to allow Arete up to 10, as is supported by M20, but not spheres above 5.
For the sake of suggestion, a mage with Arete 6+ may be able to attempt some of the arch-sphere effects (not above their arete though) but threshold and high successes would be required. These should be extraordinary feats that could lead to fatal Paradox backlashes. Is it worth the risk?
