Furio/Overview
Fury took his father's dying wish to heart. While his younger brother Julian would succeed their father as captain, Fury turned his intellect to study. He graduated from Harvard summa cum laude with a degree in finance. With his portion of his inheritance, he would start up Paragon Banking International. In a few short years, his company was racing to the top of the Fortune 500. Wealth, prestige, and respect were his, all earned not through criminal enterprise but by virtue of his own intelligence and determination. However, though Fury had firmly left the Mafia life behind him, there were others who thought to strike at his brother Julian through him.
The nascent internet fascinated Furio, and he studied its applications with great interest. But he would soon experience something entirely new, something never before seen--identity theft. In one fell stroke, the Mafia family that had murdered his father had stolen Furio's name, face, Social Security number--everything that made him who he was. If he couldn't recover, he'd be ruined. But Furio was nothing if not determined, and he wouldn't let his rivals get the better of him.
For thirty hours straight, he poured himself into research, fighting to understand what had happened to him--and how to stop it. Exhaustion set in, and he began making leaps of logic he never would have otherwise considered. At the end of it all, as he contemplated the very nature of identity itself, his mind exploded with awareness. He beheld the geometric precision of the universe, and was Awakened to incredible power.
