Mortal

Mortals, those characters which are entirely and plainly human. They are not ghouls to vampires, thralls to demons, custodes to mages, or kin to shifters.

The world they live in is full of all manner of mysteries that are explained through various religions, customs, myths, and superstitions. While a regular human may seem boring, they hold a great power that has a huge effect on the world around them. Belief. Not to mention their Faith in those beliefs. And their fear.

It is their ability to believe (or disbelieve) that shape the world around them in ways they are largely unaware of. Christmas miracles still occasionally happen because mortals believe in it. Kidnapped children, long lost, sometimes return happy and healthy to their parents because people believed and never gave up.

Mortals shape the world in which the supernatural live, making their general life easier or harder based on the consensus of mortal belief. This has played out repeatedly through out history. Such as the fear and disbelief mortals developed regarding mythical creatures that caused them to leave the world, to become the myths they now are. Because humanity believe we could fly, we revere the Wright Brothers who put us in the air.

There is a certain blessing in being ignorant to the mysteries of the world, and most are content to live in that blissful ignorance. They are far from powerless. They are the largest part of the population. They hold all of the government offices.
