Biography

Alex Ruiz was born in the heart of Los Angeles and a descendant of a long line of craftsmen and shamans. He had a strong connection to the spirits of the city ancient and modern and used his gift to create fetishes that blended ancestral wisdom with the dynamism of urban life. His work caught the eye of the Masters, not just for its craftsmanship, but for its seamless blend of spirituality and modernity.

By the time of the "Week of Nightmares", Alex was still an apprentice mage. But his mentor, an old Dreamspeaker, saw the value in preserving the unique blend of old and new world magic that Alex represented. He tasked Alex with crafting various trinkets and items for a special project. While crafting these items a casting went awry that sent him into Quiet. Thankfully, his Mentor found him and took care of his body for six months, even taking him along when he moved to Minnesota. He has sense learned how to better handle various energies and is no longer prone to Quiet, at least not as easily as he was.
